NAIDOC Week 2018 celebrates the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make – to our communities, our families, our rich history, and our nation.

This year’s theme – Because of Her, We Can – recognises the many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, past and present, who have served as leaders, politicians, activists and social change advocates. They have fought, and continue to fight, for justice, equal rights and rights to country. They have battled for law and justice, for access to education and employment, and to maintain and celebrate Indigenous culture, language, music and art.
